Oats & Rice began in 2015, when founder Shiyi, newly graduated from Winchester School of Art, set out to build a cashmere accessories brand with a supply chain she could stand behind. The result is pure cashmere scarves, shawls and hats sourced from Inner Mongolia through fair trade partnerships, and at Lonah we carry an Oats & Rice edit in our Westbourne, Bournemouth boutique and online.
Current pieces include the white diamante cashmere shawl, scarves in navy, blue, pink, beige and brown, the cacao scarf with orange trim, a cacao cashmere hat and a brown sleeveless cashmere top. Designs stay deliberately understated, built on texture and weave rather than logos.
A pure cashmere scarf is one of the most-worn things most people own. These are light enough for a spring evening, warm enough for January, and the quiet patterns sit as easily over a coat as a jumper.
